We were registered in 2015 and are headquartered in Nairobi with operations across East Africa. We apply our expertise and deep industry knowledge and networks to create and protect the sustainable value of African businesses ensuring they access capital in the appropriate structure.

Francis Nasyomba, CFA
CEO & Principal

Francis is a Principal with Raisin Capital, President of the CFA Society East Africa, a CFA Charter Holder, and a CPA, with more than 16 years’ experience in the field of finance with a specialization in investments, corporate finance and fund raising.

Francis leads a team of eight investment professionals in fund raising, transaction structuring and corporate finance advisory at Raisin. He started off his financial career with Deloitte in the audit department where he left as an audit senior. He has experience managing transactions in various Private Equity houses including TBL Mirror Fund, Centum Investments and Agrivie encompassing various sectors ranging from Food and Agribusiness, Financial Services, Healthcare, Education, Real Estate, Technology and FMCG among others.

He has been involved in differently sized transactions as an investor and advisor and also managed portfolios at various stages of growth.

He is the Principal in charge of overseeing strategy and advisory engagements across the Raisin Capital business.

Peninah Njoki
Head of Strategy and Operations

Penny is a professional with over 12 years’ experience in Business Strategy, Operations and Administration.

She has experience in development and implementation of Business Strategies, Corporate Policies and Systems, Client Relations and Team Management, with keen interest in Quality Management towards efficiency.

Penny holds an MBA in Operations Management and is PMP certified.

Isaac Shiundu
Senior Associate | Transaction Advisory

Isaac is a finance professional with more than 5 years of extensive experience in finance and accounting. He is well versed in transaction advisory, independent business reviews, financial due diligences, business valuations, and financial modelling..

He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Business Information and Management and is a Certified Public Accountant.

Isaac leads and manages the Execution team that provides strategic financial advisory and executes capital raising initiatives. He ensures client satisfaction, manages output quality standards, fosters investor relations, and oversees Project lifecycles.

Charlene Kimaru
Senior Analyst | Transaction Advisory

Charlene Kimaru is a skilled finance professional with extensive experience in capital raising and corporate finance.

She holds a Bachelor’s of Science degree in Applied Statistics and is currently pursuing a finance professional certification, CIFA (Advanced level) where she has gained a comprehensive understanding of financing principles, and investment strategies, solidifying her expertise in the field.

Charlene has over 3 years working experience in financial modeling, formulation of business strategies, risk management, and business valuation, producing comprehensive and high-quality reports for clients. She has honed her analytical skills by developing proficiency in financial tools.

She also has experience in presentation including proposals, teasers, pitch decks and Information Memorandums for clients that convey data and concepts to potential investors that drive informed business decisions and ultimately business growth.

Charlene is a seasoned finance professional with a wealth of corporate finance experience and her combination of education, practical skills, and proven accomplishments, make her an asset to the team.

Charity Jepkosgei
Senior Analyst | Transaction Advisory

Charity is an analyst who is devoted, practical and focus driven. She is also organized with precision to details and adherence to upholding professional ethics.

She handles investor research, market research, preparation of investment materials including teasers, pitch decks and information memorandum, building and updating of financial models, and conducting due diligence.

She holds a Bachelor of Science in Financial Engineering degree from Jomo Kenyatta University of Agriculture and Technology, a Financial Modeling and Valuation Analyst (FMVA) certificate from Corporate Finance Institute and is currently pursuing the Certified Investments and Financial Analysts (CIFA) from KASNEB. She has also participated in the University Stock Market Challenge organized by NSE & AIB-AXYS Africa.

Faith Ng’ang’a
Senior Analyst | Transaction Advisory

Faith is an autonomous and self-motivated FMVA, with a keen interest in financial analysis, fundraising and valuation.

As a corporate financial analyst, she researches, supports, evaluates and executes transactions, that have to do with acquisitions of businesses assets, shareholders’ investment buyouts, fundraising and financial advisory services which includes business valuations and financial modelling, evaluation and negotiation of project contracts and other investor documents.

Faith holds a Capital Markets Certificate from New York Institute of Finance, Financial Market Analysis Certificate (IMF) and is currently a CFA Level 1 candidate.

Gideon Kibet Bii
Senior Analyst | Transaction Advisory

Gideon is a finance and investment professional well versed in transactional advisory, risk management, investment research, financial modeling, and valuation.

With a Master’s degree in Corporate and Financial Risk Management from The University of Sussex and a Bachelor’s degree in Actuarial Science, he possesses a strong educational foundation. He is as a CFA Level 1 finalist and has completed the CIFA foundation exam.

During his tenure as an audit associate at RSM Eastern Africa, Gideon developed a meticulous approach to his work, conducting statutory and project audits that enhanced his analytical skills and ability to identify potential risks.

As a financial analyst, Gideon’s standout qualities include his ability to analyze complex financial data, proficiency in financial modeling and valuation, and commitment to delivering accurate and informed insights. His ability to analyze complex financial data, coupled with proficiency in financial modeling and valuation, empowers him to provide insightful recommendations and guide strategic decision-making processes.

Lillian Naliaka
Admin Manager

Lillian is an accomplished Administrative Manager with over 7 years of experience in effectively overseeing administrative matters and providing leadership to support staff. She excels in fostering a positive work environment and strives to consistently deliver results while maintaining a high level of professionalism and integrity. At Raisin, Lillian is tasked with ensuring smooth administrative workflow across departments.

Joyce Malika
Office Admin

With over five years of experience overseeing organizational office management, Joyce excels in managing office supplies, optimizing orders, and ensuring the smooth functioning of the office environment. Her adeptness extends to supporting budgeting, bookkeeping, and record-keeping tasks, while prioritizing staff comfort and satisfaction. As a self-motivated and trustworthy office manager, she consistently upholds the highest standards of professionalism, efficiency, and reliability in all responsibilities undertaken.
